Legal and Warranty Information (in plain language) 1. Richard R. Gideon Flags (RRGF) is a private, Pennsylvania registered sole-proprietorship that sells reproductions of Civil and Revolutionary War flags or other period and/or special-order flags, special flag related items and accouterments, Service Flags and Military Streamers, research and special services geared toward the vexillological community. 2. The business does not carry an inventory of flags; each flag sold is commissioned by the customer, drop-shipped from a supplier, or custom made. Commissioned Flags made in the United States by RRGF carry the trademark "Gallantly Waving" or "GW." 3. Flags that do not carry the trademark "Gallantly Waving" or "GW." are made in USA or overseas. 4. The business makes every effort to minimize the turn-around time on flag orders, but can't guarantee the date you'll receive your flag. Please be advised that commissioned flags are made by hand and /or machine and often require considerable time to fabricate. To maintain a high level of craftsmanship, RRGF will take whatever time is necessary to complete the job. 5. RRGF makes every effort to buy quality materials in order to make flags; however, manufacturers sometimes change fabric weights and dye formulations without notice. In addition, RRGF has no idea of how the flag will be treated once it leaves our hands. Therefore, RRGF cannot warrant the life of the flag, warrant the quality of the materials (including dyes) in the flag, assume responsibility for vender or shipper mistakes, or assume responsibility for what the end user does with the flag. 6. RRGF obtains information about flags from various museums and noted authorities, and often buys worksheets from them in order to make accurate replicas. When necessary RRGF credits the museum or authority; however, the credit does not imply endorsement by them nor has RRGF requested any endorsement. 7. RRGF warrants customer satisfaction on commissioned flags ORDERED BY INDIVIDUALS and made in the USA by RRGF; if within 30 days from the date you receive your flag you decide to return it, RRGF will, upon receipt of the flag, refund your money, including shipping charge and tax (Pennsylvania). All other flags, including flags made in the USA FOR RRGF, are ALL SALES FINAL. Other merchandise, unless marked otherwise, is also sold as ALL SALES FINAL. 8. UPON ACCEPTANCE OF A PROPOSAL BY WRITTEN NOTIFICATION, PAYMENT OF A DEPOSIT, OR PAYMENT IN FULL TO RRGF, THE CUSTOMER AGREES TO LIMIT THE LIABILITY OF RRGF TO REFUNDING THE DEPOSIT OR TOTAL PAYMENT MADE, WHICHEVER APPLIES, TO ANY AND ALL PRODUCTS SOLD BY RRGF 9. RRGF reserves the right to cancel sales for any reason and return all monies paid. 10. Intellectual services, research, or other services provided by Richard R. Gideon are provided without warranty, and are covered by “Choice of Law and Forum” as below. Richard R. Gideon does not guarantee or warrant Internet hardware or other services, such as those provided by telephone or other common carrier companies, or the services provided by Internet Service Providers (ISP). 11. The buyer of intellectual services agrees to hold Richard R. Gideon blameless in the event of any lawsuit filed against the buyer in connection with information provided on his or her (the buyers) web site. 12. RRGF is licensed by the US Department of Defense, Department of the Army, to manufacture and sell Service Flags and Buttons (Pins). All Service Flags, Buttons and Pins are made in USA. Service flags are sold only to qualified persons, or as gifts for qualified persons, per Department of Defense regulations. 13. RRGF sells MILITARY STREAMERS that meet Department of Defense regulations. We are a U.S. Government approved vendor - CCR registered. 14. RRGF is listed with Dunn & Bradstreet, and is an approved vendor for U.S. Government purchases (CCR registered) |
PRIVACYYou may have provided RRGF with your name, billing address, shipping address (if different than the billing address), a telephone number, and an e-mail address. Obviously we need to know these things in order to ship products or services to you. However, RRGF does not share information about you with any third party, except in the following situations:
RRGF does not keep or maintain an E-mail list. We do not sell information to third parties nor provide information to bulk mailers RRGF does not use scripts, Active-X controls, or any other software to collect private information from you without your knowledge (spyware) RRGF may contact you in order to facilitate any order you have placed with us, to inquire as to whether you have received an order, or to help resolve any problems that may occur as a result of your order RRGF does not require nor ask that you provide us with any sensitive financial or tax information (except for a sales tax exemption form in the case of sales to Pennsylvania sales tax exempt entities or credit card account numbers in order to satisfy a telephone order), bank account numbers, social security numbers, or tax return information. NEVER PROVIDE SENSITIVE FINANCIAL OR TAX INFORMATION TO ANYONE CLAIMING TO BE FROM RRGF. If you are paying for products or services ON-LINE with your credit card make sure you are properly logged on to PayPal, our official credit card processor - look for the "https://" at the beginning of the URL ORDERS PLACED BY TELEPHONE: If you have placed an order by telephone or FAX and have paid with a credit card we will ask you for your 16 digit credit card number. However, upon receipt of verification that the order was successfully completed we delete your credit card information, except as follows: Your credit card company will send us the last four digits of your credit card number for verification purposes in the following format: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-1234. We may reference that four digit number (using the phrase "ending in...") in case we need to contact you concerning your order. Except for this four digit number, your 16 digit credit card number is not kept on file in any form.
