• WHAT SIZE IS APPROPRIATE?  CLICK HERE
  (Note: Service Flags are required by DoD regulations to have an aspect ratio of 1:1.9.  All of our Service Flags meet Department of Defense Regulations)

• MANUFACTURING AUTHORITY AND SPECIFICATIONS:

  • (2)  A certificate of authority to manufacture and sell the service flag or the service lapel button will be granted only upon agreement in writing by the applicant that he will not deviate in the manufacture or sale of the approved official service flag or service lapel button as described herein - from DoD Directive 1348.33

  • (3)  Drawings and instructions for the service flag and the service lapel button will be provided to manufacturers with the issuance of their certificate of authority - from DoD Directive 1348.33

• NAMES AND SERVICE BRANCH EMBROIDERED ON SERVICE FLAGS.  The patterns supplied by the Department of Defense DO NOT include provision for a name or branch of service, and therefore RRGF does not place names or branch of service on our Service Flags

• WHY DON'T YOU SELL A 3' X 5' SERVICE FLAG?  Because a 3' x 5' flag does not meet the requirements for an aspect ratio of 1:1.9.  The DoD DOES NOT specify a size - what IS specified is a ratio, and that ratio is 1:1.9.  A 3' x 5' flag presents an aspect ratio of 1:1.67 and therefore does not meet the specifications provided by the DoD
