In the Spring of 1994 I asked my wife, Kathy, to make me a Confederate "Stars & Bars" flag, as I thought it would be interesting to fly this flag along with my store-bought US flag on the Gettysburg anniversary days. From that simple request arose Richard R. Gideon Flags, and the trademark "Gallantly Waving." Since 1994 RRGF has been a leader in the field of professional "vexillology" - the study of flags and flag history. NATIONALLY KNOWN - WORLDWIDE SALES

Our MUSEUM GRADE FLAGS are natural material, high quality reproductions, using reproduction quality material from antique fabric vendors. RRGF does in-house artwork in oil and acrylic paints. RRGF also offers a REPRODUCTION GRADE Nylon, Polyester, cotton, or silk flag, completely hand and/or machine sewn. These flags are made either in the USA, overseas, or a combination of both RRGF is registered in my name as a sole proprietorship in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and collects Pennsylvania sales tax on sales made within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, according to the Pennsylvania Sales Tax code. There is no PA sales tax on flags of the United States, or on the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania flag. All other flags are taxable to Pennsylvania customers RRGF is an Internet business, and is licensed to conduct business in Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania. We do not have a showroom or store, and all business is conducted via telephone, mail, or the Internet. Our Internet location is South Jordan, Utah Some products are made directly by us, and some are made for us by associated companies. THE MAJORITY OF PRODUCTS SOLD BY RRGF ARE MADE IN USA The process of commissioning a flag is simple: the customer communicates his or her desires, I produce a proposal, provide fabric samples, and the customer accepts or rejects at will. Thats it. My only stipulation is that I will not be pressured into a deadline, as quality results take time, and I will not be bound by delays incurred through suppliers or shippers, as these are outside of my control. Museum grade flags often take several months to ship because the fabric must be woven, dyed, and shipped to me before I can start a project Except for certain products that are "passing through" RRGF, such as commercial flags, I do not advertise prices. The complexity of flag projects, individual needs, and material costs vary so much that to advertise a price for a particular style flag is impossible. But once I quote a job the price stays fixed |
